Urinary Tract Infections Helped with Cranberry Juice

By Alfred Jones Cranberry Juice is very rich in Antioxidants and Nutrients which can help to prevent degenerative illnesses and diseases, particularly those associated with the eyes, it is a well known supplement that is frequently used in overcoming UTIs or Urinary Tract Infections, and it could be called a vitamin that boosts the immune system, by increasing and improving cellular communication within the body. Cranberries are very popular in the United States, especially around Thanksgiving Day, because it has become traditional to have it as a sauce with the Thanksgiving Turkey. The berries are very tangy and tasty, they are also loaded with Vitamin C, they were often used by sailors in days gone by, to prevent scurvy. When Cranberry Juice is taken for Urinary Tract Infections, researchers found that patients passed a anti bacterial substance in their urine, which cured the infection. Unfortunately UTI is one of those diseases that is inclined to periodically return and become a chronic condition especially among ladies. More research has found that if taken regularly, it can be very effective in preventing a return of the infection. Cranberry Juice is thought to attack the infection in two ways, one is through the acidity that is produced in the urine, which attacks the bacteria, secondly the Vitamin C content is an essential element in helping the immune system to do its work, because it is receiving what is needed, for efficient functioning. The immune system is the natural healer of all illnesses and diseases in the body, but of course it must have the required vitamins and nutrition for this purpose. Cranberry Juice can also help in preventing degenerative diseases, such as heart disease, strokes and certain cancers, Cataracts are a cause for concern among the elderly, with vision impairment or even blindness, it has been know to slow down and even stop the progressive deterioration of cataracts. It has also been shown to be very beneficial in helping to slow down macular degeneration, and to reduce the blood leakage with diabetic retinopathy. I am not in the business of selling either Cranberries or Cranberry Juice, there are already plenty of suppliers out there, so there should not be any difficulty in obtaining a quality product, try to go for a good brand, that is as natural as it can possible be, and do not choose the cheapest, as this could be a false economic choice. The point that I am making, is that this, is an excellent natural remedy for a number of problems. Cranberries are considered safe for everyone, but if you are going to take it for medicinal purposes, Please consult with your physician first, Antibiotics might be considered necessary, first before trying Cranberry Juice. ‘Sir Cedric Morris’ Hardy Geranium

By Alan Summers Extra Hardy, Impressive Color and Low-Maintenance All in One This week we’re taking the opportunity to introduce you to hardy Geraniums, specifically ‘Sir Cedric Morris’. ‘Sir Cedric Morris’ was one of our most popular feature plants in 2004. Hardy geraniums are ideal for use in perennial gardens, rock gardens, borders or as ground cover, and excellent for difficult-to-mow sunny slopes. They are forgiving and come back year after year with little to no maintenance. These are true perennials not to be confused with florists’ geraniums. ‘Sir Cedric Morris’ is an especially large flowered variety that produces a visually stunning show of luminescent magenta pink blooms with broad overlapping petals against the large, finely divided deep-green leaves. Expect an impressive 24-30 inch mound of color from each plant. Caution: ‘Sir Cedric Morris’ Often Creates Jealous Neighbors! Get ready for plenty of questions from passersby about this unusually beautiful plant. Most will assume that it is expensive and takes extensive garden know-how to create such impressive displays. The secret is, ‘Sir Cedric Morris’ makes it easy! What you tell others is up to you. Forms impressive mounds, about 15-inches high and 30-inches wide Visually stunning color contrast, even from a distance Reblooms in the autumn Handsome deep red fall foliage Extra-hardy, reliably returns every year in zones 4-10 – a true perennial Very low maintenance Deer-resistant Adapts to most any soil (except really sodden, wet soils) ‘Sir Cedric Morris’ thrives in sunny, hot summertime weather. Just water them regularly until established. Expect the long-lasting blooms from late-spring through early-summer. Planting and Caring For best results, plant anytime from early spring into early fall. It performs best in a fully sunny or lightly-shaded location and accepts either acid or alkaline soils, as long as they are well-drained. Plant 24 inches apart for a weed-inhibiting ground cover. Water-in new plants with a soluble seaweed fertilizer, such as SeaMate. Do not use chemical fertilizers. Water regularly until established. Surround new plants with a good mulch or well-rotted garden compost. A thin layer of mulch is recommended for subsequent years. Mulching is best when accomplished early in the season just before plants emerge from their winter break. An application of organic fertilizer in early spring is rewarded with extra vigorous plants. Again, avoid chemical fertilizers. Espoma’s Plant-Tone is a great all purpose organic fertilizer. After flowering, usually mid-summer, they can be lightly trimmed or cut-back completely. New foliage will emerge and a second round of flowering will occur in autumn, most seasons, until the first hard freeze. The Celeb Wedding Of The Month Maybe

By Anja Merret Mr and Mrs Nayar are finally on honeymoon. It has been a nuptials with rather lengthy festivities. One wonders how often the I dos have to be said? It seems that once is not enough anymore. Elizabeth Hurley and her now husband Arun Nayar have pledged their troth three times in the past weeks. The pledges were spread over continents, performed in different traditions and were celebrated with umpteen changes of outfits, jewellery and attendants. Does this overwhelming excess mean that they will not be divorced in the next few years? Maybe the divorce rate is so high because people only promise once to love each other till death do them part. On the other hand, perhaps its only celebrities that need to promise more often. Thats because they are so important. Important people need to do things more lavishly, otherwise they have no meaning. And Elizabeth Hurley and husband must be important if the magazine publisher Hello! is prepared to pay a reported amount of 2mill for the pictures of the wedding. That is really a bizarre amount of money to pay for wedding pictures. Having started out their married life with such pomp and ceremony, one wonders what could be next. Anything else in their life surely will now fade into insignificance against this kind of over the top celebration. How does one cope with this let down? To a lesser degree, the ordinary people have also elevated the whole wedding event to a height that was unheard of in past generations. Only royals were inclined to be lavish. Its not uncommon for brides to spend thousands of Pounds or Dollars on a dress, which will only be worn once, flowers and decorations for a few hours, food, drink and entertainment that is lavished on guests who in many cases hardly know the wedding couple. Aunts and uncles come out of the woodwork for these events. Whatever the reasons are for people to need to spend so much money on getting married, it regrettably does not make the relationships last longer. In fact it could be interesting to see whether couples married in a magistrates court with a few mates in attendance, and a celebratory glass of something in the pub across from the court, might have a better chance of doing the till death do us part thing. Anybody with some stats? Anja Merret lives in Brighton, UK. She has recently started a blog and writes on issues that interest her from self-improvement to tech stuff for amateurs. Anja has had a varied and interesting career journey. She started as a high school teacher, changed professions to become an admin manager at her late husbands law firm because this allowed her the flexibility to look after her small children at the time. After many years she left this position to try her hand at an art gallery, moved across to public relations and finally found her niche in education again managing a computer training centre for many years. During this time she also involved herself in writing standards and qualifications in the new media field. 10 months ago she moved from South Africa to join her younger daughter. She now writes a blog and also looks after the business interests of her daughter who is a Flash and Accessibility expert. She has BA (Hons) MBA degrees and on rare occassions she feels like a frustrated wannabe academic. That passes quickly though. www.anjamerret.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Anja_Merret http://EzineArticles.com/?The-Celeb-Wedding-Of-The-Month-Maybe&id=489922 pay day money lenders pay day loans against bible personal loans great credit dallas bad credit small business loan

Do It And They Will Come: Pursuing New Adventures To Find Mr / Ms Right

By Toni Coleman Are you tired of the whole dating scene? Have you spent many hours (years) going to parties and events with the hope of meeting compatible and available singles? If so, now may be time to think about doing something different. Really different. After all, we tend to move about socially in the same close-knit circles. The same guys/women at a friend’s party or at the functions held by our church or synagogue. Even the happy hour crowd can become all too familiar. Don’t despair. There are lots of new and exciting ways to meet people if you are willing to do a little local research and are game for some new adventures. Before I get into the specifics, I need to emphasize the importance of having a basic plan. Primarily this involves a budget for time and money investment. It also requires that you really think about what would meet YOUR needs, as you get ready to commit to some new leisure activities and interests. A good way to start is to spend a little time thinking about those things you always wanted to try or to learn about. For instance, have you had a desire to try hiking, biking, swimming or other athletic pursuits? What about something a little more exotic like caving, skydiving or scuba? Perhaps cultural pursuits are more to your liking, but you don’t know anyone you can share these with. If so, you may feel uncomfortable or just not interested in going out and doing them alone. With some ideas in mind, (or maybe no specific list), you are ready to begin to gather information about local available resources. Major metropolitan areas are rich in singles events. These are hosted by for profit companies as well as singles groups/clubs that are affiliated with religious and other private organizations. You can begin your search by looking through local newspapers and checking out the listings with you county, city or community center. A web search is also a great way to gather information. Just use keywords that include singles, activities, events, and the name of your local metropolitan area. If you live in an outer, less populated area, don’t give up. Look into what is available in the nearest large city. Also, note the trips for singles that allow you to meet people from around the country. Once you have identified regional and local groups and organizations, begin to go through all their listings. Be open to hearing/reading about everything that is available. This process can give you a lot of ideas and will let you know what all your choices are. The list can be almost overwhelming! Many singles are searching for new adventures and this has led to an explosion of activities and events being offered. The following is a “rough” list of what you may find: Sports – volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, sailing, horseback riding, and sports leagues for a number of team sports Athletic – hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting, camping, walking groups New Skill Learning – pistol-shooting classes Cultural – museum tours, theatre, ballet, symphony, opera Social – scavenger hunts, wine tasting at vineyards, group dinners After you have made your picks, check to see that you can work them into your schedule and budget. Remember, as you make your final selection(s), that this is supposed to be FUN for you. Choose something that you believe you would enjoy and that would be basically within your ability to participate in. (i.e.) If you are terrified of heights, avoid skydiving. Keep in mind that challenging athletic pursuits tend to bring out the (true) best and worst sides of us all. Not only will you give yourself an experience that can help you develop greater confidence and self-esteem, you will also learn more about yourself and how you relate to others. This will be true of the other participants as well. Therefore, you will get a much more candid snapshot of the singles you meet during these activities/events. You will also maximize your opportunity to meet like-minded singles, who share at least one of your interests. So, pull some of those old dreams or recent fantasies out of mothballs. Let yourself play. Along the way you just may find a new favorite passion, a great friend or new love. Should I Get Back With My Ex? The Answer To Your Question

By Natalie Arton Getting over strong feelings for your ex can be a very hard task to do. Even after a while your heart keeps longing for him/her, but on the other hand your mind tells you that getting back together may cause you unnecessary pain and sufferings. No one can give you a definite answer to the question, Should I get back together with my ex? You have to find this answer inside of you. However, there are certain clues that can help you to make the right decision about whether you want to attempt saving this relationship or not. You definitely dont want to get back with your ex if in the past he/she used violence or mental abuse. In this case, no matter how many promises this person is making, there is no sense in exposing yourself to the future possible danger. Any promises that your ex partner is making, he/she should prove by actions, not by words. For example, if your ex has cheated on you several times during your relationship, there is a very high possibility that he/she will do it again. By giving him/her second, third tenth chance you are setting yourself up for disappointment and heartbreak. It is also not a good idea to get back with your ex boyfriend/girlfriend if you broke up a short time ago and still feel that your emotions are too tangled and complex to make a rational decision. Give yourself some time and space to think things over. Usually it is suggested that you take a months break for every year that you have spent together with your ex partner. If after that time you will decide that you can meet someone better, then there is no point of getting back. But if you still feel strong incompatibility between the two of you and your ex feels the same way about you, you should definitely give your relationship a second try. Sometimes we end the relationship under the influence of impulse, because we are tired of fighting or simply want to hurt another person. Later we can realize that we have made a mistake and that we still want to be with that person. In this case I suggest you discuss your feelings honestly with your ex and do everything possible to save this relationship! Someone has once said that, light cannot exist without darkness, just like love cannot exist without a breakup. Only when we are apart with the beloved one, we can fully understand and appreciate the meaning of true love. If you still love your ex, dont let this beautiful feeling die, fight for it! Taking the True Relationship Test

By Nick Smith If you have ever read teen magazines you will be familiar with the myriad tests they offer their readers. You can find out everything from which type of jelly bean you are to which celebrity is your soul mate. But what about the relationship test that purports to tell you whether you and your spouse or companion are compatible? After twenty multiple choice questions the test tells you to either keep them around or dump them. The fact of the matter is that no relationship test can truly analyze all of the factors that indicate whether a relationship will or won’t work. Personality specialists emphasize that each personality type has different strengths and weaknesses and that any two types of personalities can be happily married their whole lives, so long as they are aware of their differences and work hard to make their marriage a success. The True Relationship Test My mother had a rule that we couldn’t complain about something she cooked until after we had tried it. The principle she was trying to teach was – the best way to figure out if you like something is to try it. The best relationship test to take is life – try it out for while. Who cares if a magazine quiz says the planets aren’t aligned for you and your mate. If you are dating and you’re happier than ever, keep it up. And even if a magazine tells you that you have found your soul mate, but you are unhappy or the relationship is abusive, get out of it. Passing the Test For anybody that has been in a relationship longer than a couple of weeks, you know that life isn’t always peaches and cream. Tough times come, habits starts to annoy, and personalities clash. Don’t throw away a great relationship just because your knight in shining armor happens to snore. Follow these tips to strengthen a great relationship or work on strengthening a struggling one.Communicate, communicate, communicate. While many people don’t have a problem expressing accurately their feelings or emotions, some people do. That is not an excuse, however, to not share with your partner what you’re thinking or feeling. If you fail to communicate your relationship will suffer.Spend time together. Don’t justify spending only 15 minutes a day with your spouse by calling it quality time. Quality is important, but quantity time is especially crucial with regards to relationships. Make sacrifices and spend time together.Be 100% loyal. Your commitment to the success of your relationship cannot be complete if you are flirting or otherwise involved with another person besides your spouse. If you have a problem with this, now is the time make changes in your life. If you suspect that a child may be yours, DNA relationship tests are available to help determine your relationship to a child. Take responsibility for your actions. No matter what any magazine tells you, if you want to make your relationship work, it will take time, effort, and loyalty. Put your relationship to the real test by trying for success. Promotional Marketing: Effective Logo Placement

By Michael Merrick Crooks I should have known better to say what I said, seeing how the caller was from an accounting firm. I merely suggested she put the firms logo on the back of a baseball cap. Her silence caused the sort of anticipation you experience when someone blows up a balloon until it pops. The words came slowly at first finally she blurted, “You you want to put my logo WHERE?!” Trying to regain control of the conversation I asked, “Claudia, why is your firms sign out front?” She replied, “What? Well, because thats where everyone will see it.” “Right. And if everyone could see your sign out back, youd put it there too, right?” I asked. “Of course,” she replied. “Well,” I said. “When your employees are sitting in the stands at the baseball game, or standing in line for a hot dog or to use the restroom everyone behind them will be looking at the back of their head. Would you like all those people to see your logo?” “Hmmmmmmmmmmm.” Placement of your logo on promotional marketing items, such as baseball hats, should be given as much thought as is given to selection of the item itself. For sake of this article, lets assume youve chosen an appropriate item for your event or promotion. And, your primary goal is to broaden your name I.D. Now, lets give the same serious thought to logo placement. Consider the following: how will the product be used, where will it be used, venue, day or evening event, indoor or outdoor, will people be sitting or standing? With ball caps worn to a sporting event, most want to put the logo on the front. But if you want to maximize the advertising potential of a cap, put the logo on the back as well. Folding, portable chairs are another place people commonly misplace the logo. Why put the logo on the front of the chair, where it is covered up when the chair is in use? Better to put the logo on the backside of the chair where everyone behind the user can see your logo. What about pencils and pens? If you think about it, youll ensure that the imprint is as near the eraser end as possible. This way, your logo remains to be seen even after multiple sharpenings. Same goes for pens but for a different reason. People hold a pen towards the bottom. If your logo is imprinted toward the bottom it will be covered up when the item is used properly. Fat lot of good that does you. With mugs, ask yourself, “Who do I want to see my logo? The person drinking? The person sitting across from the person drinking? Both? Pick up a mug and drink from it paying careful attention to what you see. Imagine your logo or message on the INSIDE lip of the mug. How about the bottom inside of the mug. And remember the bottom outside of the mug too. All these areas are imprintable with your logo. You need merely decide who you want to see your logo and how much you can afford to invest in a mug. Say you want to have your name seen at the beach. “Hey! How about beach towels?”, someone yells. Beach towels are an ok idea, except for the fact that when people lay on them theyll cover up your logo. And while some people may leave your towel stretched out while they take a dip or play beach volley ball, many will scrunch the towel up to keep sand off of it. So a beach blanket may be a great idea. But again, when in use, your logo is covered up. A better idea for the beach may be a cooler. Here again, most people will want the logo on the lid of the cooler. Thats fine and dandy if you pretty much want your logo to be seen only by the owner of the cooler and then only when theyre right on top of it getting in it. Better, is to put the logo on the front and/or back of the cooler. This way your logo can be seen by most who walk by the cooler and from a greater distance. As far as the accounting firm? After some thought, Claudia put the logo on the front AND back of the hat and had a successful ballpark outing. She said that once at the ballpark, the back of the hat made perfect sense. Big or small, put your sign (logo) where people will see it. Michael Merrick Crooks is a 23-year advertising veteran, copywriter and founder of Crooks Advertising Alliance. February in the Garden

By Lee Goins Often in February there is a surprisingly warm day. Everybody sheds their coats and puts a bounce in their step. The next day they hear a snow plow at 4 AM. But the brief warmup gets you thinking what is there to do in the landscape? Here are a few late winter ideas. Check out your garden tools, patio furniture, window boxes etc. Paint, repair or discard so you are ready to go when its really nice out! Its a good time to propagate some house plants. Abundant sunshine is on its way! Order Seeds! Hey thats always fun. Try something new this year! Prune decidous trees that need it. Remove dead or problem branches, crossing branches and basal sprouts. Make sure you know the proper way to do a pruning cut and get an arborist for the big jobs for safety and future health of the tree. The ISA consumer site has great advice here. http://www.treesaregood.com/ Try forcing the bloom on some early spring flowering branches. Forsythia is a common choice for this; but pussy willow, quince, spirea, and dogwood can be forced forced to bloom also. Its easy and gets you out in the garden for few minutes! Gather your branches and when arranging them make slanted cuts to help with water absorption. Put them in a vase and keep the water fresh, changing it a couple times a week. Contact your local landscape service now for any spring projects. In a few weeks they are going to be very busy! A garden center manager, writer, musician and webmaster; Lee Goins is often called on as an expert in landscaping and gardening. Residents of Shelby County Ohio have been bringing him pieces of trees, moldy leaves, and jars of bugs for 8 years in spite of the well publicized knowledge he prefers chocolate. The 5 Fundamental Rules Of Crop Rotation

By Dale Odeyemi There is another thing to be considered in making each vegetable do its best, and that is crop rotation, or the following of any vegetable with a different sort at the next planting… With some vegetables, such as cabbage, this is almost imperative, and practically all are helped by it. Even onions, which are popularly supposed to be the proving exception to the rule, are healthier, and do as well after some other crop, provided the soil is as finely pulverized and rich as a previous crop of onions would leave it. If the same vegetables are grown in the same place year after year, there is a risk that soil borne pests and diseases will become a problem, and that plant health can decline as a result of this. The best way to avoid this problem is to move your crops around the growing area. This ancient practice, known as rotation, is still being used today and not only helps to benefit your plants and vegetables, but your soil is helped by this also… Here are the 5 fundamental rules of crop rotation: (1) Crops of the same vegetable, or vegetables of the same family (such as turnips and cabbage) should not follow each other. (2) Vegetables that feed near the surface, like corn, should follow deep-rooting crops. (3) Vines or leaf crops should follow root crops. (4) Quick-growing crops should follow those occupying the land all season. (5) Keep records of what actually happened, and then make use of this information when planning next years crop. These are the principles which should determine the rotations to be followed in individual cases. The proper way to attend to this matter is when making the planting plan. You will then have time to do it properly, and will need to give it no further thought for a year. With the above suggestions in mind, and put to use, it will not be difficult to give your crops special attention when needed to make them do their very best… Get our new, vegetable gardening books, just by Simply visiting our website dedicated to Vegetable Gardening http://www.HerbNatural.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Dale_Odeyemi http://EzineArticles.com/?The-5-Fundamental-Rules-Of-Crop-Rotation&id=308682 payday advance no telechek emergency personal loans for military no credit check car dealers in idaho no fax no teletrak no cl verify cash advance

Water Conservation in the Garden – Use a Rain Barrel to Harvest Rainwater

By Amy Passmore If you are a gardener you probably already do a bit composting to recycle yard and kitchen waste. This homemade “Black Gold” does wonders for your plants and soil. But, have you discovered the gardening benefits of harvesting and recycling rainwater to use in the garden? Many communities nationwide are experiencing either short-term or long-term water shortages. Some communities have begun rationing programs and impose fines if a homeowner uses too much water. Why not try some simple rainwater harvesting techniques and use the water to irrigate your garden? You’ll be able to water your plants when they need it and you may see a bit of savings on your water bill at the same time. Harvesting rainwater is as simple as placing a rain barrel under a roof gutter downspout. Practically any large, clean container can be used as a rain barrel. For instance, you can use a plastic or metal trash can. However, there are major benefits to using commercially designed rain barrels. Features of commercially available rain barrels include: childproof and pet-proof lids, mosquito screens, overflow hardware, spigots for attaching hoses, and the ability to link multiple barrels together. These features make using your rainwater much easier and safer. Many city water departments will give homeowners a rebate on their water bill if they buy a rain barrel. You can find durable, heavy-duty rainbarrels at most home improvement stores and garden centers. You can also order them from online suppliers. These rain barrels can be quite attractive also. Some are made to look like traditional round wooden barrels while some are square, or half-round to provide versatility and style when placing one beside your house. Some rain barrels currently on the market are made from recycled shipping containers for Mediterranean foods such as olives. What are some of the advantages of collecting rainwater for use in your garden? For starters, you will be doing your part to conserve both water and energy. When you use rainwater you will not be using your municipal drinking water and will not be using the energy it takes to pump it to your house. It’s free, so you won’t be billed for it! Rainwater is fresh and naturally low in salt and chlorine so it’s good for your plants. Most of the time it is not cold and won’t shock your plants like water from an underground source can do. Your grandparents probably used rain barrels to irrigate their gardens. Why not try something old to solve a new problem and conserve water by using a rain barrel? Even if you live in an area with very little annual rainfall you will be amazed when your rain barrel fills up after just one or two rain showers. Article by Amy Passmore for The Gardening Guide.
